FourMeasure ("FourMeasure," "we," "our," or "us") is a music-focused social media application operated by a company legally registered in the State of Nevada, United States. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we collect, use, store, and protect your information.

a. Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Username, email address, and profile details.
  • User Content: Posts, reviews, comments, reposts, and direct messages.
  • Preferences: Settings and interactions you choose to enable.

  • Usage Data: Interactions with features, activity, and engagement.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and diagnostics.
  • Log Data: Performance data used to maintain app stability and security.
  • Precise Geolocation: We only collect your precise location (within 1,750 feet) with your express opt-in consent for specific features like "Nearby Discovery."

c. Listening Activity (Optional)

  • If enabled, FourMeasure may display your currently playing or most recently played song to other users.
  • This feature is optional and can be disabled at any time in settings.

2. How We Use Information

We use your data to:

  • Operate and improve the FourMeasure app.
  • Enable social features like discovery, messaging, and profiles.
  • Personalized Discovery (Profiling): We use automated decision-making to curate your "Your Mix" feed based on your music interests. You have the right to opt-out of this profiling in your settings.
  • Protect the safety, security, and integrity of the platform.

3. Third-Party Integrations

FourMeasure integrates with services like Spotify and Apple Music.

  • We do not store third-party account passwords.
  • Data accessed from these services is handled in accordance with this policy and the third party's own terms.

4. How Information Is Shared

FourMeasure does not sell personal information.

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers (Processors)

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate our platform. These may include providers for:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure
  • Email delivery and communications
  • Analytics and performance monitoring
  • Customer support tools

These providers process personal data on our behalf and are contractually required to:

  • Use data only for the services we request
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Protect data using appropriate security measures
  • Comply with applicable privacy laws

Legal Requirements

Safety & Enforcement

Messages are private between users. We do not read or monitor private messages except when necessary to investigate abuse, enforce policies, or comply with legal obligations.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services.

  • Account Deletion: If you delete your account, your data is scheduled for deletion from active systems within a reasonable period (typically 30 days), unless required by law for security or fraud prevention.

7. Your Rights and Controls

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access & Deletion: The right to access or delete your personal information.
  • Data Portability: The right to request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Universal Opt-Out: We recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If enabled on your browser/device, we treat it as a valid request to opt-out of data sharing.
  • Profiling Opt-Out: The right to opt-out of automated decision-making used for content personalization.

How to Request Deletion or Revoke Consent

You may delete your account at any time by navigating to:

Profile → Settings → Delete Account

Once requested, your account and associated personal data will be scheduled for deletion from active systems within approximately 30 days, unless retention is required for legal or security purposes.

You may withdraw consent for optional features (such as live listening visibility or precise location) at any time within your app settings.

Requests are processed in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

8. Children and Teen Privacy

FourMeasure is not intended for children under 13.

  • Under 13: If we discover data from a child under 13, it will be deleted promptly.
  • Teens (13–17): In compliance with 2026 state laws, users under 18 receive "Privacy by Default" settings, including restricted geolocation and a prohibition on targeted advertising based on their personal data.

9. State-Specific Rights

  • California: Residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to access, delete, and opt-out of the "sharing" of personal information.
  • Nevada: Residents may request information regarding the disclosure of their data under Nevada law.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Communications & Email Preferences

We may send service-related communications necessary to operate your account, such as:

  • Account verification
  • Security notifications
  • Moderation notices

We do not send unsolicited marketing emails without your consent.

If we offer promotional or marketing communications, users will have the ability to opt-in and unsubscribe at any time via:

FourMeasure does not use personal information to send unsolicited bulk email ("spam").
